What do we get an 8 year old girl for her birthday? |
She has all of the Polly Pockets and Littlest Pet Shop and doesn't really play with them. She's getting a bike from grandpa. She love playing school, but I'm a school teacher and we have decorated her room to look like a school with a bulletin board, chalkboard, word wall, etc. She got bunk beds for xmas and loves them. The only thing she has asked for is the Magic Bullet blender from the infomercial, and we're not sure we should waste money on something she may use the first time we get it for her. REAL SUGGESTIONS ARE APPRECIATED! a pony! .. or .... if she is showing an interest in the kitchen and cooking, then leave the rubbishy stuff shes seen on tv and get some things she can really use to cook with. my 8 y old daughter loves cooking - she adores her own apron, small mixing bowls, wooden spoons & cook book etc... i know they see the shiny plastic tat on telly and think its great, but maybe you shoudl explain to her how marketign works - my daughter finally gets it and realises what she'll end up with if she spends her gifts/pocket money on stuff that ends up in the bin or charity shop! good lcuk xx wait... you were considering buying a "blender" for an "8 year old" and the only thing that stopped you was fear she may get "bored" with it? nevermind. if she wants a blender, get her a blender. problem solved! she will want a new copy of her favorite movie,or a cd of her favorite band,group etc. best of all give them money with a card attached and let her ,him decide..they are little grown-ups you know. nail polish set make-up set crayola art set (any kind many good ones out there) set of books she likes the movie open season (really funny) gift card to claires or icings You do not need to buy her all these just one I just made suggestions! Get her books. Books are the best gift anyone can give to a child. You said she likes to play school, so how about an easel. One with the chalk board on one side and a dry erase board on the other, as well as a paper roll attached so that she has a variety of options. Tomorrow Saturday?
