If you have free play at the lever on the handle bars you either have burnt out the clutch plates or put the wrong oil in the crankcase. You did loosen the adjuster, right? Tightening the cable is the wrong way to go. Any automotive oil that has the "energy conserving" rating on the label contains a moly additive to reduce friction and will cause clutch slippage. Most all 5w30, 10w30, 10w40 oils for cars and trucks have this rating. Most 20w50 oils do not. |
