Please, help,my dog is accused of biting some1 falsely? |
my dog got out of our house for approximately 5 min. now he doesn't bite but a neighbor of ours hates pit bulls. anyway, when the neighbor seen our pit out, he took the opportunity to get on his bike (may i add that he NEVER rides a bike) anyway, and had my dog and 2 stray dogs chasing him. well, my husband got our dog back in and the guy told my husband that he was calling the cops. well anyway cops came out and so did the animal control and they took my dog in for quarantine. however, i KNOW for a fact that my dog did not bite this man, it was one of the other 2 dogs if he even got bit at all. is there anything i can legally do. my dog got pickedup wrongfully, andits going to cost around 200.00 to get him out and if we don't they will automatically put him to sleep. unfortunately aside from hiring a lawyer and having a bite mold made of your dog and matched to the bite on your neighbor, you're not going to be able to prove this. it's going to be expensive, but i would love for a pit's owner to stand up like this. unless the bite is obviously from a smaller dog or much larger one, there's no cheap way to prove this. i know it was an accident, but since pits are ranked above the terrorists on threat level right now, there's nothing much you can do expect bail your baby out and not let the dog get loose again. good luck. sorry about your neighbor. honestly even with scratches as long as you are the only witness it's your word against his. hopefully someone will see things your way. hopefully the neighbor will mess up and be nutty around the right person. but i've seen all too often, you will be labeled as a pit owner. and that alone, sadly will make your neighbor's word better than yours. talk to your neighbors see if someone else saw what happened. that is your only hope. bring it to court and get a good lawyer and talk to your neighbors You're incredible, blaming the entire world for your killer dog, probably just like your alcohol problem. Your dog should not get out, it did bite that guy, and you're gonna blame him for a loose dog chasing him? You're a true nut job, I don't even know how you got hold of a computer. Have you gone around the neighborhood to ask if anybody saw the incident? Pitbulls are the most dangerous breed of dog you can have, they are doing you a favour. I'm not sure what the law is where you are but in the UK breeding or exchanging a pit bull is against the law under the dangerous dogs act 1985. They are so unpredictable, please just let it go for everyones sakes. What you need to do to prove that your dog did not bite this person is to somehow get a measurement of the dog bite on your neighbor and then see if it matches your dogs bite radius. It might be difficult, but when it comes down to this or having your dog put down, I think I would contact your local law enforcement and have them help you out. If your neighbor was really bit, he/she should not have a problem in doing this. And tell the people who took your dog to do this or you will call a lawyer. And don't listen to people telling you that your dog is bad cuz it's a pit bull. But you do need to be careful that it doesn't get out without a leash, cuz they can scare people. Bash its teeth out with a hammer then tell the judge how could the damn dog bite anyone? It has NO teeth. |
