Electric scooter are they ok to drive on road without license? |
any one know about the new electric scooters that seem to be new to the country most people selling them on ebay etc saying no need for insurance licence or tax as they electric i drove one in china without any license etc great fun cant tel the diference to a petrol please helppp It depends on your state and the model of scooter, IE the size of tires, etc. they are a good way to get your self run over :( I think in the UK you will need a licence to ride this as its under power, like milk floats have to be registered and has a class for electrical on your driving licence. Its like mowers that cut the grass verges have to be registered to go on the road.In China they don't register them but still need training on them i know i have to face them every day most still don't understand the danger of this type of powered bike i am a British Guy living in China. You should get onto the DVLC and ask them they will probably say if its under power you need to register it and need a Motor bike licence plus do the CBT training course before you can ride it any wear in the UK. I don't know what your state or country's laws are but here in Pennsylvania in the U.S. they're illegal. In order to be on a PA road they must have an inspection, title, insurance, and plates. The only place you can run `em here is on your own private property. |
