Baotian scooter?

Bought a scooter,been unused for a year.Changed the spark plug,bought a new battery and put in petrol.But it doesnt want to actually start,it turns on etc but just doesnt want to start.Should i take it to a mechanic,or what ?how much do you think it wil cost?

Mals, I am sorry to hear about your bad news but as I said before on here in response to your many questions about this and the Keeway, that you would have been better to have sought local advice and avoid these two machines.

The bottom line though, from what you are saying, is that you are not going to get an answer on here. You have done the basics, so you will now have to bite the bullet and seek the help of someone who can actually look at the bike. There is a multitude of things that could be causing it to not start - electrical, mechanical, fuel system etc. Hopefully it will not be a big issue and it won;t cost you a lot. No one can answer your question as no one can know the problems. Chances are that it will be a small easy fix and that is the gamble that you have taken in ignoring the advice that you sought.

check the kill switch and the petcock are one, that the battery is connected
easily done- trust me

I am a dealer of Chinese motorcycles and so have a good understanding of them.
