How much would it cost to ship an average mountain bike from Vancouver to Sydney Australia?


I have a near-new Iron Horse mountain bike, worth probably $400 CAD, and I'm trying to figure out how much it would cost to ship it back home to Australia (ignoring Customs duties and the like, for now).

To send it fedex in a standard cycle box (10"x36"x30") with a declared value of $400 would cost $1,806.75 CAD.

You could send it via Canada Post for $978.28 without delivery confirmation.
