My mountain bike has 26" x 2.3" tyres, would there be any problems with using 26"x2.35" tyres on the same rims

mountain biking

no,as long as you same rim size ,it might be a bit tight but should go on
no. no problems
Not at all! I've got 26"x 2.3" mountain tyres and 26"x2.1" road ones.
no
The 26" is the rim diameter. I.E. the size of the wheel. The 2.3 denotes how chunky the tyre is. The philosophy with chunky tyres is that you create a larger foot print. This gives a smoother ride, but will also make you slower on road, or hard ground.

Another factor is the tyre pressure. I tend to ride with 1.8 Panracers. This makes me faster, but still gives a good cross country rate. I inflate these to about 60 PSI. This gives the best all round speed and performance for me.

hi...'no' not at all...your wheel size is the same, so they will fit ok, and as you are aware the tyre pressures are quite high for mountain biking, so just maybe drop the pressure by a couple of psi.
No just make sure your frame is wide enough to take the tyre size!
