Good mountain bike retailers in Toronto? |
Looking for reputable bike retailers in the GTA, preferably ones that also sell used bikes. (I'm on a budget :)) It will be my first bike and I will use it mostly to ride to my gym, around my neighbourhood, and hit some bike trails every couple of weeks. Extreme X-country riding will be minimal. I just bought a Nakamura Summit full-suspension bike from SportChek ($200) on impulse and will be returning it after doing some research! I think a hardtail will be more suitable for me. There was long time ago cycloshop on Eglinton and Jane St . Owner was from Italy and it was really good shop . I do not know if is still there but is worth it to try . In Brockville Ont. was another perfect shop in Main St , the guy can get for you any bike equipment and any bike from over the world . Source(s): Personal experience ! Looking for a good store? Check the yellow pages, or better yet, ask around. When you're at your gym you'll meet people who also bike (well, I'd assume you would). Ask around and see if anyone can recommend a store or, even better, a nice bike. Depends on your budget. If you're talking 1000$ or less, a hard tail would be the best route as FS bikes under 1000$ suck. I have one - it's terrible... though just being a kid, I can't afford a decent bike. If you're going over 1000$, you may consider FS, but the choice is up to you. Just ask around for the stores, someone will recommend you. If you don't like the quality there, ask the store for the names + locations of other bike stores. When you're at Sportchek, you could ask them for a proper biek store, even. Have fun! |
