Mountain bike hydraulic brake problem.? |
When I leave my bike in the hot sun, the fluid expands and makes the rear brake bind, so much so that the rear wheel wont move even with force. The front brake is fine. What can I do to stop this happening? There may be too much brake fluid in the rear brake reservoir tank. but cannot be too sure unless yo specify the make and model of brake unit. Shimano offers details for servicing disk brake systems. Source(s): http://bike.shimano.com/publish/content/... Hydraulic brakes? psht.. What ever happened to the disk brake systems? That's the only thing I could suggest. Nugget. There is an expansion "valve" or bladder in the master cylinder (reservoir). It may have gone bad. I suggest you take it to your local bike mechanic for tune up/evaluation. This is one of the reasons I hate disk brakes! |
