Trek Mountain bike gear slipping...Why the heck? |
I just bought a new trek mtn bike last year and despite them giving me a new chain and the "pros" adjusting the dang thing forever, whenever the chain is on the smallest sprocket it slippes a lot when I crank on the pedals at all. It's horrible. I think now it is either the rear derailer or the sprocket itself. PLEASE HELP! Thanks If it a full sus bike. it could be bearing play. but most likely the derraileur stop (the screws) is incorrectly set if its just the wee sprocket, give you problem. find a different "pro" or have a fiddle yourself. Source(s): me just a guess because i havent seen it, but perhaps your small cog (sprocket) is worn/damaged... I agree with dan. The limit screw is not set properly. |
