Mountain bike

I have a new mountain bike and tyres flick up even the tiniest crumb, what should i do!!?

I'm not using it for anything extreme, but when generally cycling around, the wheels are constantly flciking up small stones etc.

This could mean me losing an eye. Plus i would like my paintwork intact after my first proper bike ride.

What should i do about this?:

1. Live with it
2. Change my tyres
3. Geta crud guard
4. Do something i havent said....

Thanks for your help!

Well, it's a good idea to wear sunglasses or eye protection anyway - for just this reason. Or bugs... they are no fun in your eye.

If you never plan to go off-road, or only rarely, you could change to smooth tires; they roll better on pavement anyway.

A crud guard is also a good and it allows you to ride in the rain or on wet streets without getting so dirty.

Also, live with it is an option... the old saying is, it's not really "your" bike until you've properly scratched or otherwise damaged it.
Change your tires.
get a crud guard
dont ride it.
Get one of those mud guard things, they really do help the problem you are describing.
Little bro has 10 -20 bikes ( dont ask, a bike freek)!
