I have a tiller motor with a steady throttle and a mountian bike. How can i put the motor on the bike and obviouly have some sourt of engine-wheel dis-engager, like a cluth. And also, how do i put the throttle on the handle-bar with a spring throttle (if i let go of the throttle, the engine speed should slow down) like a dirt-bike?
Looks like you've got about 50 trips to the bike shop.. tackle one thing at a time. First, make sure you upgrade your brakes! (We always forget about stopping). Then figure out how to mount your engine. The gearing will be easy, you should be able to find the part at any bicycle shop. The spring throttle might not be a good idea. Handlebars might not be compatible with the i.d. of the throttle units available.
Sounds like your building yourself and "E" ticket ride. Good luck and don't forget your helmet and your knee and elbow pads. |
