Please tell me what happened to my mountain bike pedals? |
when i go uphill, i use more strenghth and the pedals just slip off it's the crank set or something the feeling of it is... i pedal very hard then suddenly become very easy to pedal then realise that the bike is actually not moving when i'm pedaling the chain did not fall off after a few seconds of it, it work normally again please tell me what happen if you know! thanks ! hi maybe your bike chain missed the gear or something or maybe the pedals is loose bring it back to the shop and check out why gd luck! It is the crank set, I had a bike do that same thing to me. It can be some what expensive to fix. So you might want to weigh out whether it is time for a new bike all in all. Sounds like the bottom bracket could be shot. Take it in to you local bike shop and they can diagnose the problem completely and fix you up. Not the cranks, not the gears. Its your wheel. The freewheel in your rear wheel is dead. Have it serviced at a bike shop or you may need a new rear hub. The freewheel allows the wheel to turn 1 direction and the other direction freely. When the freewheel is dead, the wheel is able to turn both ways freely with out power transmission. |
