Can I switch between 2.1" and 1.95" Mountain Bike tires without getting new rims?

I would like to buy some new tires for my bike. I am looking at some tires that are 26x 1.95 but I currently have 26x 2.1. Do I need to buy new rims for the new tires, or can i just use the new tires with no problem?

Thanks

You're good. You can fit pretty much any tire with a 26" bead diameter, which is anything from 26 x 1" all the way to 26 x 3.0" (if you have the frame clearance).

You may want to do a rollout measurement and recalibrate your cyclometer if you have one, as the 1.95's will have a slightly smaller circumference than the 2.1's.
You can use the same rims.
You'll be just fine.

You'll be fine. There are some wider rims that might not work with 1.95" tires, but I doubt they would come with tires at 2.1".

Don't worry about it, use the new tires at 1.95".
you will be fine. just remember that the thinner tire will provide less grip so u might want to adjust tire pressures differently than with 2.1's
