What is a good double kickstand that I can use for my mountain bike?

My bike does not have a welded plate between the chain stay. Therefore there is no centre hole where the bolt can clamp on. I need a very sturdy double kickstand that can either clamp on chain stay, between rear axle or crank arm. I need a strong kickstand because i carry heavy cargo. Would the Pletscher ESGE kickstand work with my setup. Thanks

Hey Jack,

Yup, the Pletscher ESGE will fit your mountain bike, as long as you have room between the rear of your bottom bracket shell and the front of your rear tire. The ESGE clamps between both rear chainstays and is very well made from Switzerland. When you put the double armed kickstand down it raises the rear wheel off the ground, just like a motorcycle center stand. I installed a ESGE on my friends TREK tandem and it was very stable as long as you keep the loads balanced on each side when unattended. The double kickstand cost about $49.00 and comes in black or silver.
Hopes this helps. = )
if you are serious about riding MTB off road, don't install a kickstand
they can cause accidents and injuries
that's why you don't usually see kickstands on road bikes or MTB's
they can come down when you don't want them too and cause a crash
