Which bike company makes the best middle tier bikes/makes the best middle tier mountain bikes?


Bikes between $300-$500

Trek, or Specialized.
Giant offers a lot of bang for the buck

I like the GT triple-triangle frame. Currently, I've got a Motobecane 600HT. Good beater bike.

Anything from a bike store...stay away from WallyWorld, Academy, and other department store POS.

In that range you are gonna get a lot of the same stuff hung on the bike.
Go with the frame that fits you best.
Look at fork go with one with a higher end fork.
Frames and forks are the most expensive things to upgrade.
So go for that first.
Dont bee fooled by a no name "lock out" fork.
Get one that just says yes to you.
They are all made in China or taiwan at this stage......No matter the sticker brand on it.
