Which mountain bike brand is better? |
what brand is better? Diamonback or Ironhorse I would say IronHorse. They have better frame technology (the DW-Linkage frames) and spec their bikes with reliable components. I think this gives more value for your money. IronHorse also has built a reputation because of downhill championships won on their Sunday World Cup DH bikes. However, judging a "better" bike doesnt depend on which brand you choose. It depends more on how the bike is fitted to your body,riding style,skill level and budget. Look past the brands,inspect the component spec,determine your intended use for the bike and try test-riding demo units at your local bike shop. they are really in the same category, but if I was to pick one it would be ironhorse. It's not so much the brand as the components. Compare the components and choose accordingly. Depends on your intended use dude. DBR are cool for average type bikes, their freeride/DH range are not really proven on the world stage. Ironhorse have a couple of World Champs under their wings in the DH arena courtesy of the Mad Catz team ie Sam Hill and Rennie before he went to Santa Cruz. Diamondback do some awesome BMX's though. So I would say Ironhorse all the way. Check out the World Cup Sunday, very tasty, or the Yakuza Imichi. I would go with Ironhorse. If there is a Performance Bicycle near you, go check them out. They are nice bikes...good components at a decent price. i would choose ironhorse, they give a better bang for the buck and they look sweet. diamondbacks USED to make good bikes, but have gone downhill in the last few years. they make decent high end bikes, if you plan to spend $1500+ on one of their bikes. |
