the quality of Diamondback bikes has declined ever since Raleigh bought the company
the Coil EX is basically an entry level FS MTB

I recommend KHS, Specialized, Trek, and Giant

The DB is not a bad bike, but I worry about Diamond Back. They have begun to sell their product on the mass market and since then their quality has slipped. You are better off going to a bike store and winding up with a comparable Trek of Giant. You will get better service and warranty.
if your just using it for casual or recreational riding, then it will hold up fine. i was looking at buying it once, its a very nice bike. the shock will most likely have a heavy spring rate so dont expect a lot of travel there. these parts are not meant to be abused either, so dont go off huge jumps or ride in the rain and mud.
