How to clean mountain bike after ride? |
dirty chain, sand, best way to clean out Get a bunch of rags and wipe down the entire bike, get as much of the dirt off as you can. For the drive train, get a citrus degreaser and spray down all the parts. Get a rag and scrub all the dirt off the chain, the cassette, and the chain rings. Also get the derailers. After everything is clean and dry lube all the moving parts with your favorite bicycle lube. Every once in a while its a good idea to take all the drive train components off the bike and give them a good solvent bath. It only takes a couple of tools and a little but a add years to your bikes life. dunk it in your mom swimming pool hose that ***** Carwash soap and water Best way is to spray in cooking oil before ride...let it dry. Go for ride..return..hoses off easily. I always use this method...the best Bully your lil brother into doing it for you... works a treat ;) |
