Are k2 sidewinder mountain bike any good?
They are OK. Being that they were designed and sold for the mass market (like The Sports Authority) they have a few shortcomings and a couple of shortcuts were taken, making them all-terrain bikes rather than mountain bikes... full suspension doesn't make a bike capable of mountain riding.
If it were me, I'd spend the same amount of money on a hardtail... no rear suspension. You'll get a lighter, more efficient, easier to ride bike.
