Which is the best mountain bike for 拢 650? 拢650 will get you a damn fine hardtail mountain bike. Get down your local bike shop and see what they've got in stock. In that price range I'd recommend a Specialized Rockhopper because Specialized simply haven't got anything wrong for me over the past 5 years. You can get a Rockhopper disc for that money, a very fine bike indeed. Another 拢600ish bike that has been highly praised in the press is the Kona Stuff, so of course thats worth a look too. If you are spending that much, you ought to adhere to the 10% of value rule when buying a lock/locks, if you intend to ever leave it locked up out and about. Look at a few bikes in your price range (you won't necessarily want/need to spend all that - my bike was 拢550 and perfectly suited my needs), and go with the one that feels best to you when ridden. Thats ultimately the only way to choose a bike. go to jb sports in liverpool,u can get a reebok for 拢95.00 instead of buying a new bike for 拢650 buy a second hand one for that price. you will be getting a bike that was once maybe 拢1000 and in the long run be much better I would budget for insurance and a very decent lock as well and get it security marked. as a 拢650 bike is very tempting for theiving herberts The best mountain bike you could get is one that isn't 拢650, stop going to big chain outlets like JB and other places like Halfords and go to an independent trader that's been established for a while as they will have a better knowledge of what suits you than some Muppet in a chain store that cant advise you as well. Believe me, I have walked out of those shops and I went and found an independent that gave me far more for my money than any chain store could give, Service. Mine is, its pink with a bell on it and everything. For 拢650, you can have a ride on it, but only for half an hour and I will want some insurance, I do not want any scratched or anything.
