What's the best full suspension mountain bike for All-Mountain in the $1000-$2500 range? |
What's the best full suspension mountain bike for All-Mountain in the $1000-$2500 range? i think the Specialized Demo and Big Hit are in that price range. these are more downhill style bikes, but you'll enjoy the extra suspension and they look sick. Specialized is a reputable company and known for high quality bikes. well a very good brand is red line or FMF, or SE those are all the won my World Champ. with but ya get 1 Boy, that's a wide range. Probably you can search a Titus Motolite complete for 2500 or maybe a little bit more, or also a Santa Cruz Blur LT or something like that. Also consider a Santa Cruz Heckler, Specialized Stumpjumper FSR, Cannondale Prophet, Iron Horse MK III. Actually there are a lot of good bikes in that range. You should look for a bike that fits you well, also, if your local bike shop supports or deals with them it's a good thing. For an all around Mountain Bike, I think Santa Cruz Superlight or Blur LT would be your best choice! Santa Cruz makes great bikes at a reasonable prices. I know three people that own Santa Cruz bikes and they're all very happy with their purchases. I like haro If you get a used bike from eBay, ridemonkey, pinkbike, or mtbr.com you can pretty much get anything in that price range (ok almost anything). I would look at the Jamis Dakar XLT, Santa Cruz Heckler, Specialized Enduro and Turner 5 Spot. Again some of these bikes new will be out of your price range but if you look around you will find what you're looking for. Look on MTBR.com for reviews of each bike before you buy and if you have any local bike shops try test riding a few to get a good feel. Again with that budget you can get a pretty sick bike. I would stay away from the 6"+ suspension (Santa Cruz VP Free/Bullit and Specialized Demo/Bighit), unless you are looking for a freeride/downhill bike. They will be "more" of a bike than you are looking for in an all mountain bike...they aren't fun to push around on the trails. Good luck and happy trails! http://www.mtbr.com/reviews/allmtn_full_...
