What's a good mountain bike for under $400? |
What's a good mountain bike for under $400? I would suggest Giant, Trek, Specialized, but I would go for Giants, I've owned a Giant for 4 years and still gong hard but make your research and get what you like the most, also make sure you know what you're planning on using it for, you don't want a 400 dll bike for serious mtb, then youll find your self upgrading down the road, a 400 dll bike is good for commuting and lite off-roading... Trek bikes are hard to beat. This bike is slightly over 400.00, but you do get a lifetime warranty on it and that is quite unheard of for a bike under 800.00. Prices vary a good bit, even within the same brand at different dealers. Trek has a decent one for under $400, but so does Giant, Cannondale, Specialized, and KHS. Go light on the special features for an entry level bike. Disk brakes may be great but on an entry bike they'll have to skimp in other places to provide that. |
