How do I measure a mountain bike frame to determine the frame size?
If it's a traditional style bike, and not a Y-frame with the rear suspension, then you measure the along the length of the verical rod that runs between the seat and the front gears. In the UK at least bikes come in inches (or S, M, L etc, but these relate to inches depending on the manufacturer).
This is the measurement of the seat tube (the vertical one between the bottom bracket and the top of the tube (where you insert the seat post).
