How do you manual on a mountain bike? |
plz help ive been trying this trick for a LONG time and i cant get it to stay up for more than like three seconds!!! First off, on a mountain bike it's MUCH harder. This is because of longer chainstays, taller seattube/saddle height, bigger wheels, etc. I can't do it long either but I'm getting better. Check out this link below, and see if you can find a copy of the dvd "Tricktionary".......good stuff. Be prepared to fall a lot....helmet, elbow pads, maybe a tailbone protector or downhill padded shorts are a great idea. If you're riding clipless pedals, ditch 'em and get some flats. Rear wheel balance is a masterful achievment! I've found that going faster helps me a little, but then the penalties are greater if you go over. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-nn4z5wv... What's a manual ? A Mexican ? Get it to stay up for 3 seconds? This isn't a mexican porno site! manual? like maybe a wheelie??? sit back in a low gear pull up and pedal Keep practicing. The bigger the wheels, the harder it is to wheelie, as well as manual. I've never been able to manual very well. Three seconds is a good start. it takes alot of practise but it's worth it, you just pull up and lean back and if you're going to fall forwards lean back more or do a quick pedal and if you're gonna fall back tap your rear brake. when it comes to manualing things like curbs, you just get into a manual first, then hop and keep leaning back. pull up when your paedels at the top and start peddiling dont stop peddling |
