Is this suspension design possible for a mountain bike?

It is possible but the geometry needs to be worked out a little better since right now it wouldn't move at all... your linkages and the radii that they are following cancel each other out so your current design is just a fancy way to attach the stays to the main triangle.

If you want to experiment, print out your design and make each piece out of stiff cardboard... maybe a corrugated box. Connect the pieces with some light screws or something and see how it might move. Source(s): 27 years in the industry
yes, that's what a lot of cross country bikes use...most of them with air shocks. though i think yours a bit too complex--you don't need that second pivot

Maybe, but why so many pivots? I don't think it would provide a better leverage or damping than a standard rocker link.
ya it is a 4 bar linkage design roughly
