I think bicycle locks are really for show. If someone wants your bike, I don't believe a lock is going to stop them, there just a deterrent.
I guess the more money you spend, and you can spend lots just buys you more time, but to answer your question probably most cable locks would do because if I'm locking my bike I would want to lock it to something.
Trek makes a real good cable lock at a reasonable price, it's like half inch cable with the lock on the end. |
