How can I tighten the crakshaft on my mountain bike ? |
It is loose anyway it can be tightened? An 8mm Allen wrench can be used to tighten the crank to the bottom bracket. On some older models, a 14mm or 15mm hex head wrench would be used. However, if the bottom is what is actully loose, you usually have to remove the crank, tighten the bottom bracket, and then replace the crank. You should probably take this to your bike shop if you don't understand what I've said above. take it to a bike shop theyll do it real cheap and probably free if you have um do something else to. the crankshaft? Did you buy new cranks that don't fit? Do you just mean how do you tighten your cranks? See the two sources below.
