What would be the standard tire pressure for a new high quality mountain bike???


Since I will be riding on mainly asphault and hard pack earth,what pressure should I set my tires at???...Thanks for that extra bit of detail...Tom Science

Look on the tire, it will say what the tire pressure range is.

Think about getting "slicks" if you're not going to use it off-road. I bought "Tom Ritchie" slicks..."slick" is just bike jargon for a road tire without the knobs of an off-road tire. This makes a HUGE difference in how fast you go and how fast you lose speed due to friction.
