What is the best mountain/trail bike for under $230? |
dual suspension at the least 18 speed light weight hi.. $230 from what country? lets take it as US dollars you can get a decent hardtail bike but for dual suspension, its not really what you want light. cheap dual suspension are heavier i got a 200+ dual suspension bike the brand is urata.. not a very famous brand but it sell real good bike brand like giant all these are even better. but i think $230 can only get you a hardtail always remember buy a good bike once and for all instead of buying a cheap one and spend more money on repairing or the best why is to buy a frame and complete the bike yourself if you have another bike which you don't want take out the part and put on the new frame its cheaper this way and you don't have to waste your old parts good luck! Dude, Hate to break it to you, but all your gettin' for $230 is a wal-mart junker. Sure it may have dual suspension and gears, but it'll have JUNK suspension and JUNK gears. It will also weigh about 45 lbs. My advice is to go to wal-mart and when nobody's looking, test ride one of their "bikes". Then, go down to your local bike shop and see if they'll let you ride a $1000 hardtail. You'll be AMAZED at the difference. That's not to say that you can't find a good bike for less than a grand. Giant, Trek, Kona, Gary Fisher, and many other companies all make great bikes that are are affordable. I would also reccomend looking on e-bay or mtbr.com for a used bike. Bikes do not hold their resale value very well, and you can usually score something really nice for cheap. |
