I need a bike i can ride like crazy style over rocky terrain, also some mountani bike problems...? |
hey, i have an IronHorse Outlaw FS. I hate this thing with a GIANT pasion. Its a mountain bike so i thought, hey mountain bikes are meant to be ridden on mountains...WRONG! I take it on a mountain...horrible idea every time i hit a rock on a little 2 foot jump the stupid bike chain would fall out of gear and id have to completely stop what i was doing because i realized I CAN PEDAL AND IM GOING TO DIE. it totally sucked because i wanted to get some seriouse riding in that day and wasent able to. i think i manually put the chain back into gear like no joke about 12 times that day if i counted correctly, so yeah i need a bike that i can make some gnarly jumps while i ride it over extremely rocky terrain like desert type stuff you know? please answer me back someone... Bro----with your suicidal tendencies ( er....pardon the term I used) and serious riding focus----I suggest you get killer bikes such as the Rocky Mountain ETSX , a Kona Stinky De Luxe, a Scott Ransom or a Cannondale Rush with Carbon frame and a Fox Talas R front suspension fork ( the Lefty might break from your abusive leaps! ) ----they may be expensive but ALL can handle your hammering style! sounds like you need to invest in a higher end MTB, like the Specialized FSR Sworks or Demo series... these are pro end and extremely durable http://www.specialized.com any good giant, rocky mountain etc..made for downhill and freeride its not the mountain bikes fault, its either a poorly tuned bike or bad componentry. I would think about a component upgrade. i would go with a santa cruz. they are expesive but really good Look at higher end. Also, if you are looking at throwing it over big rocks, etc. you might consider a full susser with a bit of travel on it. Specialized do some good bikes, that encourage agressive riding. I would look at their range. Luck |
