GT Palomar Gents 08 Mountain Bike?

Does anyone have any experience or views of this bike. Looks like a pretty good spec for a GT priced under 拢200. If not can anyone recommend a mountain bike for my 拢200 budget. I just want something to ride to work, and some mild off-roading, that won't fall apart and has good build quality. Not too keen on the brands Shockwave or Apollo.

look for 拢200 i would search ebay and your local paper for a good second hand bike for that price, the price of that bike may have once been 拢500-600, and you will be getting a lot more for your money, if you are intent on buying a new bike and live in britain, i would suggest going to halfords and searching for a carrera vulcan, it recieved top marks in most magazines! i have seen the 07 model for 拢120 and the new 08 model retails for around 拢280, i have been riding since i was 8 , i am now 35 , and dont be put off by my avatar as its my wifes computer!

for 200 quid u aren't going to be getting anything stunning. GT is a good brand so u can expect it to remain in one piece. all bikes around the price tend to have very similar spec, ie,, some cheap shimano, some suntour ect so really it all comes down to which bike u could see urself on
