Is this a good deal? > Cannondale F600 Mountain Bike?

I'm thinking about buying this bike from craigslist:

Does anyone with knowledge of Mountain Bikes think this is a fair deal?

I have a friend that bought an '05 F600 (I think it's an '05) in the Team Sobe version for $500 last spring. Personally, I wouldn't buy one for that much because the Headshok is so outdated and less effective than today's normal suspension forks. Cannondale is hanging on to it for dear life though (their high-end Lefty forks are *awesome* however...).

At any rate, barely ridden or not, I don't think a 7-8 year old hardtail is worth that price. $300 would be pushing it. If you like it and don't mind the asking price, it's a decent bike. Make him an offer and see if he'll accept it.

Definitely fair deal.
Cannondales frames are really good ones.
