Where to buy a mountain bike, and what brand?

I want to get a mountain bike. I don't need anything fancy, just one to ride on the trails where I live. I don't want to spend a lot of money. I'm hoping to stay under 100 bucks. I know that's not gonna get me anything great but that's okay. What brands are good for what I'm looking for and in my price range? And where should I go to look for em?

you should be able to find something in your price range.

Go to a bike force store they have pretty good bmx's, mountain bikes and all the rest.

and look at this bike brand which i think would probably be good.

go to your local bike shops and see if they have used bikes. for $100 all you can get is a 10 + year old bike. get brands like specialzied, giant or trek
