Replacing mountain bike bottom bracket? |
i have a 2004 cannondale f300 bike and need to replace the bottom bracket. it has TruvatiV IsoFlow, 22/32/42 cranks. what do i need to look at to see if a bottom bracket is compatible with these crancks without having to buy news ones? the old bottom bracket was a Shimano 4-taper. There are 2 basic characteristics to consider when replacing a BB. The first is the over all length of the BB spindle and the second is the width of the BB shell on your bicycle. Truvativ is a SRAM brand and their website is pretty good wit information. Truvative and SRAM make bottom brackets, so one of them will likely fit. |
