Why does my mountain bike tube keep getting a flat right by the stem? |
Every time I go riding uphill, my tube and tire slide on my rim, causing the stem to become misaligned with the hole in the rim. On steep parts when I am pedaling hard, the tube and tire "slip" and I can see the stem sticking out of my rim SIDEWAYS. It's no longer coming straight out. For the second straight day, this caused me to get a flat right near the stem. You need to replace the rim tape on the inside part of your wheel. suggest the following: the tire is the problem its not gripping the wheel rim causing it to slide try more air pressure or new tire |
