Why doesn't mountain biking have it's own question category? |
Seriously, isn't mountain biking supposed to be like, the largest and most popular form of recreational cycling? I mean, "motorcycle racing" has one! I'm not even going to ask for a mountain bike category when the name "cycling" can't be changed to indicate that this is not the MOTORCYCLE category. What is aggravating is that motorcycles get several categories in different Q&A groupings, and even with this we get lots of motorcycle questions a lot of them about those motorcycle wannabe pocketbikes. The Motorcycles were what I thought was the problem here. But apparently bike snobs insulting another type of cyclists is the real problem. Elitist jerks! Maybe because real cyclists ride road bikes......... Probably for the same reason we get all this bmx crap in here......... because that would entail |

Any day now ...I don't know much which brands you can get over in the UK. Well, regarding on some pointers: 1. Look for hardtails. At your budget, you will be able to find some nice hardtails for what... Buy the best bike you can find at your price range from an actual bikeshop. When you want to upgrade it they will know exactly what you need. Bikes built in a bike shop are worth the actual price... sorry to say, but you will never find a QUALITY bike with disc brakes for under 150.00. i dont think you will ever find a decent bike WITHOUT disc brakes for that price. i would save my pennies for... For getting back into riding go ahead and use it. When it comes to upgrading it will cost more that the bike is worth. When you decide your ready, just get a new bike, cheaper than upgrading this... Yes it is. Mountain biking provides gret work for you leg muscles. If you keep mountain biking I'm sure you'll lose weight in no time. ...For someone 12yrs old, a lot of the bikes you'll find are just small bikes with cheap components. However one company realizes that some don't want this and would rather have a well spec&... BMX... ... |
