Question about mountain bikes?

alright, i need to find a mountain bike, that is atleast 21 speed, has disk brakes, and is under $150, and is 26 inches, if you could put the link down below.

sorry to say, but you will never find a QUALITY bike with disc brakes for under 150.00. i dont think you will ever find a decent bike WITHOUT disc brakes for that price. i would save my pennies for a quality bike that wont break down 2 months down the road.

The Big Box Store bikes will normally fall apart within the first year and the cost of repairing these bikes isn't worth the money you put into them. Take the bike to your local bike shop and ask for a tune up, if your lucky they can keep it up and running for a year or two. Report It

You should consider the following store when shopping for a bicycle::

www.thebicycleshop.ca
www.fairfieldbicycle.com
www.capsbicycleshop.com
http://www.shopzilla.com/8B--Bicycles_Eq...
www.ebay.com
www.bikebros.ca/
denmanbikeshop.com/
www.mbps.ca/
www.bicyclestore.com.au/
www.performancebike.com/
www.rektek.com/

Good luck and have a great day!!

First off, go to your local bike shop and get sized on a bike. 26 inches is not a size most people can ride or bike companies even make. 26" tires are common on all adult mountain bikes, but the size of the frame varies from 13.5" frames to typically 23" frames. Your local bike shop can help size you correctly on the frame.

Secondly, you will not find a decent bike (bike shop quality bike) for under $200 dollars. The Big Box Store bikes will normally fall apart within the first year and the cost of repairing these bikes isn't worth the money you put into them. If you are on a limited budget take a look on ebay or craigslist to find good used bikes. You will still unfortunately probably end up paying $300-400 minimum for a good bike with disc brakes.

Now if you decide you don't need disc brakes but can live with the v-brakes or linear pull brakes that are still very good brakes you should be able to find a decent bike for around $200. If you get it from ebay or craigslist you would end up with more bike for the money than you would at your local bike shop. You would still want to take the bike to the local shop once you get it to insure everything is working properly. A basic tune up for a bike will run you $40-50 at the local bike shop to make sure to calculate this into the price your paying on the bike.
