i crashed my bike into a gaint steel curb on tues night and bent the front wheel to hell. Anything in particualr i should knwo when looking for a new wheel? Any suggestions on where to go in Chicago to buy one? and how much do you think it will cost me? my bike is a cheap 26" mountain bike from target, i don't want to spend a fortune on it
here is the directory for chicago bike shops, call afew and see what the best deal they can give you is. then compare prices. I woul dsay you rlooking at spending around $40.00-50.00 or so but they may have some old stock somewhere they want to get rid of for cheaper.

BMX COLLECTIONS has a good point. I would chime in just to say that if this is a "cheap 26" mountain bike" that someone, somewhere is getting rid of theirs for some reason. OR, you could buy one at the local GoodWill/Salvation Army/Garage sale for $10 and just use it for parts.
