What is a good all around bike?

i am looking for a good bike. i dont have that much money to spend on it. i have about $150. i weigh about 200 so i dont know if i need a strong bike. i live in New York City so i will be riding in the street and i sometimes go to a park. so i dont really need a mountain bike. but i might like one for the road and off road use. i dont know much about bikes just how to ride one. but i want one that is good and will last me a long time.

With your $150 budget, you can find a variety of bicycles that you need/want on-line,but be sure to read the product description first,so that you would know if that bicycles fits for you. There is some that offers free shipping and handling with a 6mos to 1 year warranty.just go ahead and check,it's free. You don't need to spend some gasoline on your car ,just to shop on every malls or stores for your bike.
Hi. Take your budget and go to your local bike shop. They will work with you and help you find the right bike for you based on your budget, style and fitness level.
I would recommend the Forge M Street. I own the Sawback 5xx and have been very impressed with Forge, http://www.forgebikes.com they are very reputable and have been written up in bicycle magazines and reviews. Spec to Price they are amazing. Or alternately, get a Giant or Trek.
Worked in a bike shop. Ride and Competed for over 20 years.
