New river gorge?

can anyone tell me if they have been rafting at new river gorge? is it worth it?and if so can you telll me wich guides to go with(the cheapest without sacrificing anything)also are the mountain bike trails well maintained?thanks!

I rafted the Lower New River with Mountain River Tours back in 2000. It was fabulous and the guides were great! It was deifnitely woth it. They provided everything we needed, including optional wetsuits and lunch. Afterward we were also given dinner, which was great. I would def. recommend going no matter who you go with!!! I have not had a chance to bike down there so you'll have to let us know how the trails looks!

I have kayaked the NRG.
It totally depends on the water level. If you enjoy thrill and fear you will take a great time. The higher that water level the higher the thrill!! If you don't enjoy fear and thrill then you will hate it. And NRG is not the kind of river that you can opt to get out of and walk.
