Can people suggest any beginners off road cycle routes in the North? |
Just been bought a mountain bike for my birthday by my boyfriend (very romantic!) and need some ideas for areas to go - peak district, forest of bowland, etc. Do the C2C with your boyfriend. Its a great route, through scenic (and romantic) countryside and there are some great B&Bs and hotels en route. You can both dip your wheels in the Irish Sea at the start and then in the North Sea at the end (hence C2C - Coast to Coast). Have fun! By the way - your boyfriend has good taste in pressies! Eitherway though, http://www.mtbr.com has an extensive network of mountain bike trails and off road stuff seperated by state and then you can sort the results by region. They have reviews by regular riders who are typically very truthful about the ride and how technical it is. A great website, try it out and hope it helps. |
