Buying a 250CC motorized moped in Kentucky. What kind of license do I need?

Do I need a motercycle license? A moped license? Or just my driver's license?

Does anyone know a website where I can find out if my moped is considered a scooter, a moped, or a motorcycle?

I have tried talking to the County Clerks, but they are no help. Kentucky defines a moped as less than or equal to 50CC.(Also does anyone know anything about the safety courses offered?)

Ya'll have roads in Kentucky? Just kidding. In NC a 250cc moped/scooter is considered the same as a motorcycle. You must wear a helmet, have insurance and the same license as any motorcycle rider. The best people to ask is a local dealer that sells them. They are up on this stuff generally.
