In my town people drive in the street in them motorized scooters.?

they won't move and dare you to hit them. Anyone else have problems with scooter people?

We have plenty of scooters here but they can not drive on the highway. They have to be on the shoulder of the road, otherwise they will get ticketed.

Sounds like typical idiot kids playing in the street. It's all mind games - drive fast enough at them and they WILL jump out of the way - the self-preservation instinct hasn't been completely bred out of them yet.

T-Shel, I think we may be thinking about different types of scooters. I'm certainly not referring to the Vespa type motor-scooters, but rather the type that's essentially a skateboard with handlebars and a lawnmower engine. Those are not street legal anywhere.

If they are going the speed limit then no. They have the same rights as motorcycles (except on the highway) and if you do pass them while they are in legal limits you will get a ticket. But if you are trying to speed then it's not there fault. We have scooters everywhere and ppl love them. Put in 3-5 dollars and ride for days. They are gas savers not speed machines.

Ah, the scooter people....long hair, short legs, and smell of two-cycle engine oil. They are easily defeated by the playing of any musical genre that is not total crap............they will take their scooters and go home.

They arent allowed to drive ATV's here on the highways if that is what you are referring. We own one but ride it on the shoulders of the road but not very often. Mostly used in woods.
