Should I get a Hammerhead or a Hyosung motor scooter?

Are these brands any good?

Should I look elsewhere?

I don't know any thing about motorscooters but I own a Hyosung 650cc cruiser motorcycle and it is absolute Junk!. I would advise you not purchase hyosung products. I had 2800 miles on mine and here is a list of things that are messed up
ignition button broke off, horn quit working, oil shaft pump broke, engine stalls, popping noise under gas tank, rattling noise in engine, clutch cable broke after 6thousand miles!,headlights and brake lights flikering, speedometer reading 38 mph when I'm going 50mph,shifting to neutral extremly difficult sometimes immpossible, clicking noise when engaging the clutch and false neutrals, and engine overheating and paint peeling within the first months of ownership
on top of that Hyosung contracts the most ignorant and mechanicaly DECLINED half butt makeshift mechanics on earth. I've take my HYO "sunk" to the dealership twice for the same reason and everytime they fix a problem like engine noise it just comes back after a few days and then another issue arises like for instance this morning I got up to go to one of the biggest motorcycle ralleys in Pennsylvania and when I push the ignition button the engine fails to start and then there is clicking. So I'm not going now and I'm missing the party because of Hyosung and I have nothing else better to do than go on yahoo and tell the cyber world that Hyosung is the most pathetic peice of machinery on earth. The Chinese can make a better motor than Hyosung. I hate HYosung with a passion and I persnally think hyosung should be banned from America untill they learn to make a bike that lasts longer than the ride from the dealership to your house. I know someone else who had the same bike and his gas tank cracked for no reason and leaked gas all over his drivway. He ended up sueing Hyosung and won. Hyosung had to refund his money and pay his lawyers fees that were over 2thousand dollars.and another women I know has a aquila 250 and the alternator went out and she had it for less than a year and the cheap paint was pealing off of it already. My bike is only 7months old and it's peeling also. Bottom line regardless what brand scooter you get if it's not made in America or Japan it's will be junk and you'l always have problems with it . Chinese scooters are garbage I had a Baja sc50 the ones you see at pepboys for 7 or 8hundred and the transmission went out after 2200miles.

oh I would also suggest you pay very close attention to the warranty plans. You can tell generaly what kinda quality your motorbike has by comparing warranty coverage.
For instance my Hyosung Motorcycle has a 1year 1200mils warranty and comparing that to anyother suzuki, yamha,Kawsaki motorbike you will see that the other sompanies offer 3 year warranty or a 2 year unlimited milage warranty. What this says about Hyosung is they themselves do not believe there bikes are worthy of having a warranty plan like the other bike becuase they know that there bikes are junk compared to the compettion.and they try to compensate for the lack of quality with good looks and cheap fake shiny chrome .so don't buy a motorbike becuase it looks cool. scrutenise the crap out of it and look closely .if there is rust on the exhaust and it's brandnew then don't buyit becuase that means the bike probely sat outside on tarmac in the sun an weather over in some communist country for a few months. What that means to you is the battery will go bad on you in a few months and then your shitty limited waranty wont cover it. well I gotta go take it easy didn't mean to make the answer so long

Hyosungs are very good scooters the problem is most people put them with the imports that are junk because they do not know any better. I do not own one I have a venox but have had dealings with them and find no problem with them. And when finding out about brands on here you must excuse all of the ninja 250 people they do not know much at all

I can truely say that your best bet is to try a company called lifan. I purchased my lifan scooter from http://xtrememinimotors.com and could not be happier. They have great customer service and the best prices i could find. Worth checking out.

Many people don't own Hyosungs and say they are bad. I found that a massive percentage of Hyosung owners love their bike. So you'll probably find some biased opinions on here.

Hyosung is only 3 years old in America.

yes you should
