49cc motor scooter...governors, speed restrictors? |
i am currently looking into buying a 49cc motor scooter...i am wanting to get a 49cc because my states laws dont require a small motorcycle license to drive one...but i was wondering is there anyway i could get more speed out of it...is there a governor? should i remove it?...what other simple mods could i do to pick up an additional 10-15mph? are mods very effective? if you have a website to where i could buy a good speed kit or mod kit let me know? Dear Scooter4, There are several things you can do. Variator, clutch, roller weights, belt, carb and exhaust. Check out www.scootdawg.com lots of good info on the best choices. Might even find a review of the scooter. |
