Are there any 1960s/ 70s Muscle Cars available in RHD or some sort of UK spec?

Hello- I am young British man but I love all of the American and Australian Muscle Cars from this era. I do not drive often and so I have a scooter to get backwards and forwards to work- but this means I can keep a 'special motor' for the weekends- ideal considering the amount of fuel such a car would use at UK prices!

What I'd like to know is, were any of the more well-known Muscle Cars built for export to the UK or even in Right Hand Drive? A friend has suggested Australian cars might be better bet as they should (?) be RHD as standard?

I'm after something that was, or is, popular, is relatively cheap in the UK and has the classic 'Muscle' look, sound and performance and can be mechanically modified should I ever want to tinker with it's performance figures!

Thanks.

Thanks to first answer but I am after the genuine thing. V8 grrrrr!

yes you are right about australian muscle cars being right hand drive, cos we drive on the same side of the road as you guys too, they are nowhere near as popular and are nowhere near as beautiful or reliable as american muscle cars though. you should be able to get a hold of american muscle cars in the UK, we have right hand drive american muscle cars down here in australia and new zealand, they are more popular in new zealand though as the aussies tend to think of themselves as a tiny america (they like to thik they can do stuff like the US, lol) but i suggest doing abit of internet research because they do make american muscle in RHD

get the classic ford escort mark 1 rs2000 or the ford capri giah. head turners to this day and sound better than any big boar on a subaru any day.

The recent model Pontiac GTO sold in the USA is an Australian built Holden that was also sold in the UK as the Vauxhall Monero coupe.

Ford mustang comes in right hand drive and some also have a manual gearbox.Hope this helps
