Why motor cycle consists of chain,where as scooter doesn't.why???

the torq will rip a belt apart unless it's going to be about 6 in wide.

There must be a link there somewhere.

Scooter's rare weel is directly connected to engine's drive shaft so do not need chain.

EDIT: Many Motorcycles do have belt drive and NO they are NOT 6" wide as suggested above, gheesh.

Bicycles have chains (relevant to this section- cycling, not motorcycles).

I rode and raced Lambrettas for years and they DO have chains!!!! (the early Ld's had shaft drive though!)

They are immersed in an oil bath within the crankcase, that's why they are not visible!!
