If I was to buy a 250cc scooter, could I take it on the highway? Would it classify as a motorcycle?

It has the top speed of 85mph, is classified as a scooter due to no straddleing of the motor, can take two people, has headlights etc. for legal road travel.

in Arkansas or Missouri, any thing larger than 50cc is a motorcycle, has to be licensed and insured as a motorcycle and you have to have a motorcycle endorsement on your drivers license to ride it on the road.

anything less than 50 cc is considered a bicycle (for all intents and purposes)....no license, no insurance, no endorsement.

Buy a real bike.

although you can take it on the highway, the intense vibration of the small 250cc engine will make it extremely unenjoyable. the ride quality will also be poor due to the small wheels.
