I am living in Romania and I have a second hand scooter wich came directly from Italy, no papers at all. As the services are poor and there is not any representative in my city, I am forced to do the maintenance myself. I started by changing the motor oil but I have a problem with the oil level in the transmission compartment, It is provided with a measuring rod(I don't know the English word for that), but i don"t know till where should the oil to reach, also, if you are so kind, tell me what other maintenance are needed over 15000 km. thank you 200 ml is enough. The measuring rod is generally called a dip-stick by the way.
On the end of the dip stick you normally either see two lines and the oil should ideally lie in between those lines. Overfilling is nearly as bad as under by the way. If it does not have two lines then they often have a patterned area on the end of the stick, like a criss-cross pattern and the oil level should lie within it. When measuring make sure the bike is properly upright and level - sitting on both wheels. WOO vespa Paggio. ICONIC |
